Diverse midcareer leaders from 26 countries travel to U.S. in April
Philadelphia, February 13, 2023 – Eisenhower Fellowships kicks off its 70th anniversary year by selecting 26 exceptional mid-career leaders from five continents for its prestigious 2023 Global Program, nearly six weeks of intensive travels across the United States this spring for dialogue with experts in their fields.
The Spring 2023 Global Fellows come from the worlds of venture capitalism, politics, medicine, banking, environmental protection, law enforcement, public transportation and academia. The Fellows will use their travels across the U.S. from early April to mid-May to help shape concrete projects of impact they will undertake after they return home.
These 26 Fellows visiting the U.S. fund projects that combat climate change, design new reusable food and beverage packing to reduce waste and fight hunger and explore judicial alternatives to traditional courts.
They lead innovative coastal zone clean-up programs and use tranquil museum spaces and art therapy to help people struggling with mental health issues. They develop vaccines for dengue, chikungunya, zika, yellow fever and other tropical diseases that afflict some of the world’s poorest people.
All of them are committed to EF’s mission to enhance international understanding to help create a world more peaceful, prosperous and just. At the end of their travels across the U.S., the Global Fellows return home to apply what they have learned and make a positive impact on their societies.

Named for America’s 34th president, EF brings together innovative leaders from across geographies and professional sectors to tackle big challenges and improve the world. Since 1953, more than 2,400 mid-career leaders from 115 countries have benefitted from the unique experience of an Eisenhower Fellowship. Each Fellow travels on a customized itinerary designed to serve their project goals. Typically, they visit eight to 10 U.S. cities and meet dozens of experts in their fields.
