Naomi Ducat

Naomi is an advisor at the U.S. Department of State. Previously she was an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton at the U.S. Department of Defense, where she worked to support crisis exercise planning and helped coordinate engagements between the U.S. government and foreign partners. Naomi also worked as an intern at DOD helping create communications strategies to support U.S. foreign policy objectives and was a National Security intern at the White House in Vice President Biden’s office during the Obama administration. One of her supervisors and mentors at the Pentagon attested to Naomi’s formidable talents and impeccable character. She wrote that Naomi was an intern who “undertook progressively responsible positions as a contract employee….across several mission areas.” The recipient of many academic awards at a tender age, Naomi envisions a career in public service and hopes to work as a policy adviser at a multilateral organization such as the World Bank or United Nations to advance global consensus-building on conflict prevention and international human rights after completing her postgraduate studies. She used her Master’s degree from Oxford to examine the efficacy and enforcement of international commitments to combat human trafficking.
